Memory Restore—— March, 2015 beautiful Australia

I decided to write down all my travel record after I came back from Vietnam this Jan. Then I had another journal about my travel to Saipan this Mar.. Well, as I have mentioned in my Vietnam journal that I manage at least 1 oversea trip every year since I graduated from college 4 years ago, I'd like to memorize all the amazing moments by travel journals.
Last year I went to Australia all alone, I had an unforgettable experience there. Therefore, I think I should duplicate the wonderful pictures and joyful memories I still have. So here comes this journal.
I flew all the way to see you!
It took me approximately 15 hours to fly to Australia, and I had a transfer at HK. I bought the ticket from Dragon Air. They gave me 4 meals during the flying, even in the midnight, the flight attendant woke me up and gave me a box of rice with fried vegetables. However, when I landed on the Melbourne air port, I forgot all the exhausting trip and greedily take deep breathes in the fresh air.
My friend booked the pick-up service for me in advance, so that I can get to his apartment directly.
After a short catch up, my friend decided to bring me to Melbourne center to where we can take the train to go, BTW, this apartment was in the suburban area, I could barely see people walking along the street and the public transportation was so inconvenient. Thereafter, we had dinner in Melbourne center which is specially for welcoming my arrival, lol.
I ❤ AU
I just so regret that I didn't take a note to keep these memories somewhere in order to review them in the future, Now I can't remember all the details but some pieces of clips along with the pictures.
I went to Melbourne zoo. There are many animals which are pretty close to human beings. I heard that these kangaroos were baby orphans whose parents died in car accidents when they were little. They were raised by human beings so they were not afraid of being close to human at all.In my view, they were lazy and greedy anyways.
In the zoo, I had an intimated experience with a koala bear. When the breeder brought it out, it was sleeping. Apparently it was pretty upset with being bothered during sleeping, it became very cranky and people had to feed it eucalyptus leaves when they took photos with it. Otherwise, the big ball of fur would probably attack those who tried to be near it. I was told not to lean my head on koala's body, because I really did, and it feels warm and soft. lol
The zoo is pretty small, it merely took me 30 mins to make me feel bored. Then I went to the Philippe Island. I was supposed to see the mystery elf penguin, but they only come back to the island when the sun goes down. So I went to the chocolate factory firstly. It's interesting, but not very attractive to a grownup. Anyway, I just needed to kill some time.
The Philippe island is pretty big, there are thousands of tourists come to visit everyday. Of course, the big part of them are Chinese. And I have to say that the Chinese are the most unruly. Everyone was told not to take photos when seeing the penguins, because they have very fragile iris and brains, they cannot tolerate the flash and radiation from electronic products. And there were signs everywhere showing the basic rules. However, there always be Chinese people who got caught when they tried to take pictures. For god's sake, they were clear about the rules and they chose to take pictures in snap, but I don't understand why they used flash and let the shutter crack! Stupid people...
I had to see the sea!
I love the sea, it doesn't matter if it's quiet or roaring. Actually, I planned to go to the Great Ocean Road. Unfortunately I was too tired to get up, so I didn't catch up the tour... I couldn't set myself in regret! So I went to the Brighten Beach where I could hardly see a person, I was awesome!
However I could not spend all day on tanning myself. Besides I really wanted to try the famous food here. I knew the steak and lobsters in Australia are very well known all over the world. Since I was there, I was definitely going to try them! I have to admit the experience was pretty extravagant!
I really thought the entire trip was a hiking! Because the public transportation was really not convenient! I was walking all day long, and it felt like an endless military training. However, I still hung there and wandered around the blocks in order to appreciate as much as possible.
I hope to see you again
During my vocation, I had experienced the exotic environment and culture, though it's just one week. I could not say how much I know about Australia, but I could say how much I love it. Although I don't belong to there, I can still manage a reunion later.
